Annual Appeal

Women's Fund Annual Appeal

In a year of unparalleled challenges for women and girls, the Women’s Fund SouthCoast has generated greater numbers of grants to open opportunities and access for women and girls to build safer, healthier, and more equitable lives. Amidst the stunning threats to women's and girls' rights, your vital gifts have enabled us to strengthen and increase our grantmaking and social action initiatives to address critical mission-driven goals:

Education: The Fund was awarded two grants: one to address identified needs of early childhood educators, and another, to advance women's economic self-sufficiency.

Women’s Reproductive Health Access Programs:
We funded a Maternal Support Program to promote improved health and safety during pregnancy and early motherhood.
We established a Reproductive Health Access Program to offset transportation, lodging, meals, and childcare expenses for women to receive safe medical procedures.

Advocacy:
We created a Women’s Fund Fellows Program to support community activists to advance women’s reproductive health, early childhood education, and immigration rights.

Support for Adolescent Girls:
We support Girls on the Run, a girls’ empowerment program that focuses on building emotional health and confidence.
To encourage girls to learn about a wider range of careers and trades, we funded an oral history project profiling women fishermen.

As you consider your giving priorities this year, please remember the power your gift will have for women and girls in our community.
